Thanks for popping by to find out more!
Grab a seat and a bevvy of choice (hell, a shot of whiskey is fine by me) and let's get to know each other.
I believe you are great right now, just as you are. I don't bully, force or pressure you to become someone you're not. I promise to believe you (no matter how woo-woo, heavy or difficult your story is), and I will believe IN you.
I'm not your "love and light" kinda gal, but rather, "let's get into the muck together" soul friend. I listen deeply to your heart and hold a safe and compassionate space for you to find the answers for yourself.
I ask curious questions that help you align to what is true and right for you. I will use my spidey senses to help you see what you may not and delve into the hidden patterns that are blocking you so you can get unstuck and feel free to be yourself.
I am also diversity positive and trauma aware. I personally understand the challenges many women face around social inequalities, sexism, sexuality, trauma and identity issues. I prefer a feminine spiritual approach where I listen, nurture and be with whatever comes up for you. I aim for a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your truth.
I truly want to see you rock it on your terms in a balanced and inspiring way.
Plus, I believe in a Higher Power, and once you tune into it and know you are a lovable being from the Universe, life has a way of turning around.
I am based in Guelph, Ontario, Canada (the home of the first Green Party seat in our province!), though I work virtually with clients all around the world. I live with my dog, Max, tuxedo cool cat, Mew, and spouse, Ted, who is a professional jazz drummer.
I've served: over 1,600 clients in the past 11 years doing:
I've also self-published 2 children's books and 1 spiritual memoir.
To be honest, aside from coaching clients, my second fave job of all time was as a fair-trade coffee roaster and barista for a local worker co-op cafe. The smells, the connection to the ancient art of roasting, doing good work for fair-trade workers, and having time to read poetry and literature while the beans were cooling -- it was heaven. I swear that job is what made me passionate about connecting deeply with others, having heart-to-heart conversations, and questioning the real meaning of life.
Let's chat for half an hour. I would love to help you tune into your heart to find the answer to one burning question you have in your life.
I can help you unlock the hidden patterns and ways of being that you've inherited from your ancestors, family-of-origin and painful relationships in life, so you can grow in trusting your own inner voice, intuitive knowing and deepest truths.
You'll feel lighter, more inspired, clearer about who you are and what you want.
This will help you create a life and make a contribution to the world that energizes you rather than based on old ways of rescuing, approval-seeking or being burnt out. You'll set strong boundaries that are full of self-care and respect, and invite healthy and supportive relationships into your life.
No longer plagued by feeling overwhelmed and playing small, you will blossom into the wonderful being you are meant to be.
As a gen X-er, latchkey kid who grew up with colourful characters, I became a do-it-yourself, jane-of-all-trades supergirl who learned to trust my own instincts and depend on myself to follow my own path.
I grew up with artists, freethinkers, entrepreneurs, and questionably sane types who strived to live outside the box.
My ancestors are Pioneers, Ship Builders, United Empire Loyalists, Slave Emancipators and the French Hugenots who fled persecution. I am also come from con artists, gamblers, sex addicts, Settlers who took Turtle Island from the First Nations Peoples, and even the infamous Lizzie Borden.
My rebellious visionary nature goes way back, teaching me that there was more to life than just eat, sleep and go to work. We are meant to dream, create and experience life fully while growing in compassion and care for others and the Earth.
I had no idea, until I started doing the inner work that I was in codependent patterns of pleasing others first, acting out my childhood wounds and not taking care of myself. I had a lot of self-hate and criticism, which led me to drinking too much and making love and sex choices that were bad for me.
I wanted to rescue the world but I couldn't rescue myself. Even as a survivor of childhood abandonment and neglect, intimate partner violence, sexual violence and workplace bullying, I still didn't give up my convictions of a just and more compassionate world. I knew I was meant for more than my wounds and my story.
Yes, the world was broken but I didn't want it to break me.
I reached out for help on a spiritual level, which gave me the courage to make real personal and life changes and be open to new people and possibilities.
I felt guided to learn from wonderful mentors about alternative therapies and techniques such as Family Constellations work, Reiki, Mediumship, Medical Intuition, Meditation and Mind Clearing.
I learned how to listen to my intuition, tap into my own sources of love, support and self-acceptance. It seemed like magic how I became a published writer, intuitive guide, medium, life coach, speaker and pet mom.
I know I couldn't have done it on my own.
If you're an awesome soul survivor, then let's chat.
I know you're someone who wants to walk your talk, and be the change you wish to see in the world. You're a great friend or volunteer, signing every petition out there. Or you strive hard to do meaningful work in the world. You know your life is meant to make a difference while also being mindful and living true to yourself. I damn-well love you for it.
You may be having a hard time with:
Being stuck in these experiences often comes from hidden beliefs you have about yourself and life. You may have learned this in childhood or from messed-up circumstances that took the stuffing out of you. You have also inherited unknown trauma from your ancestors (we all have).
Regardless, It keeps you playing small, feeling powerless, in self-doubt and confused about which way to go.
Just like all flowers, we each need the right nutrients of sunshine, support and pruning in order to grow.
-I spent 3 years in Jamaica as a kid where I was the rare foreign white kid. This gave me a helluva lot of compassion for issues around being a racial minority and understanding privilege.
-I had the courage to leave home at 16 years old because I wanted to be treated better than I was. This taught me a lot about self-sufficiency, compassion for at-risk youth, and knowing it's okay to leave toxic relationships.
-I started a BComm Marketing degree when I was 17 years old, which I came to regret because it was not aligned to my inner values of creating a compassionate world.
-I turned down a stable government job because I felt my soul being sucked. I wanted to be happy in my life where I was free to create and express myself.
-I worked in the literary and theatrical arts, as well as the human rights sectors. Even though the pay was terrible, I learned a lot about how to make it professionally doing what you love.
-I backpacked across Mexico for 2 months and eventually lived for 6 months in Oaxaca City where I learned Spanish through immersion.
- I lived at a spiritual retreat centre for a year and a half, spending a summer in a treehouse being soothed by a babbling river. It was there that I developed a deep, contemplative life where I felt connected to the Earth, the Ancestors and my own self.
